Bipartisan Bill to Elevate the Patient Experience in the Drug Development Process Introduced in Congress This week, a bipartisan group of members of Congress introduced the much-anticipated 21st Century Cures Act 2.0. The bill would require patient experience data to be collected and considered in clinical trials. Insights gathered from people touched by cancer allow us to better understand and address the physical, social, and emotional impact of a condition, therapy, or clinical investigation. Just as heart rate, weight, and blood pressure can be measured, so, too, can the social and psychosocial effects of disease or treatment. | |
